Naga City, Cebu Landslide 2018
The Naga City, Cebu landslide on September 20, 2018 caused by heavy rainfall and quarrying operations in Barangay Tinaan and Tagaytay dos killed 78 people and five others missing. Prior to the landslide the area had long been identified as landslide-prone according to Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB). A total of 2,087 families or 8,655 persons have been affected by the landslide. The landslide covered about 80.12 hectares.
